E-Book #1 – Mediterranean lifestyle
The MEDIET4ALL project is pleased to announce the publication of its new educational guide, “Living the MEDLifestyle: Why Food and Movement Work Better Together.”
Developed as part of the project’s commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles across Europe, this free resource highlights the powerful connection between Mediterranean-style eating and regular physical activity, two key pillars of long-term health and well-being.
Drawing on recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO and recent scientific research, the guide demonstrates how healthy eating and active living can reinforce each other to deliver greater benefits than either behaviour alone.
What is inside the guide?
The publication provides practical, evidence-based advice on how to:
- Adopt the principles of Mediterranean-style eating;
- Incorporate more movement into daily routines;
- Reduce sedentary behaviour;
- Build sustainable healthy habits;
- Improve overall health and well-being through small, achievable changes.
The guide also includes real-life examples, myth-busting sections, practical tips and a 7-Day MEDLifestyle Challenge designed to help readers take their first steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
Why does it matter?
Research increasingly shows that healthy eating and physical activity work best together. By combining nutritious food choices with regular movement, individuals can improve cardiometabolic health, support healthy ageing, reduce the risk of chronic diseases and enhance their overall quality of life.
The MEDLifestyle approach goes beyond food alone. It embraces a broader vision of health that values balanced nutrition, daily movement, social connection and sustainable habits that can be maintained over time.
