Olive Value Chain as a Lever for Sustainable Development
3rd National Olive Fair in Ouezzane, Morocco, promoting sustainable olive oil, innovation, and circular economy under MEDIET4ALL.
From 24-28 December 2025, the city of Ouezzane – historically recognized as one of Morocco’s olive-growing strongholds – hosted the 3rd National Olive Fair, held under the theme: “Olive Value Chain as a Lever for Sustainable Development.”
The fair brought together producers, cooperatives, researchers, public institutions, and development partners, creating a dynamic platform to connect tradition with innovation across the olive oil sector.
Promoting the MEDIET4ALL Project
During this major national event, the MEDIET4ALL Project was actively promoted to stakeholders and visitors.
Our participation provided an opportunity to:
- Present the project’s objectives in sustainable virgin olive oil production
- Highlight innovation, research, and by-product valorisation approaches
- Promote circular economy solutions and sustainable food systems
- Strengthen engagement with local actors across the olive value chain
This presence aligns with MEDIET4ALL’s mission to enhance sustainability, competitiveness, and international positioning of Mediterranean olive oil systems.
We extend our appreciation to the organizers and all participants for fostering meaningful exchanges and reinforcing the collective commitment to a more innovative and sustainable olive oil sector.
Together, we continue advancing olive cultivation as a driver of regional development and Mediterranean cooperation.
