Welcoming an American delegation to the ENA in Meknes

American delegation visits ENA Meknès and Agro-pôle Olivier to explore Moroccan agriculture, olive oil production, and MEDIET4ALL initiatives

On 18 February 2026, the École Nationale d’Agriculture de Meknès welcomed an American delegation of 28 visitors from Chicago.

The visit began with an institutional presentation of ENA Meknès, outlining its history, academic evolution, and strategic missions. A comprehensive overview of the Moroccan agricultural sector followed, highlighting:

  • Its economic, social, and demographic dimensions
  • The historical development of national agriculture
  • Current strategic orientations and reform frameworks
  • Key sectoral characteristics and statistical insights

Visit to Agro-pôle Olivier & MEDIET4ALL Promotion

  • The delegation then visited the Agro-pôle Olivier of ENA Meknès, where they discovered:
  • The different stages of the olive milling (trituration) process
  • Quality control and production practices
  • A tasting session of olive oil varieties produced by the Agro-pôle

During this visit, the MEDIET4ALL Project was also presented and promoted. Participants were introduced to the project’s objectives in sustainable virgin olive oil production, innovation, circular economy approaches, and strengthening Mediterranean cooperation within the olive oil value chain.

This visit provided a meaningful opportunity to showcase Moroccan expertise, academic excellence, and ongoing international research initiatives in the olive oil sector.
